The show-jumping blood runs deep on all sides. Let’s start with Winston W’s sire, Sambucci de Muze; the stallion himself is well on his way to Grand Prix level, which is hardly surprising, having been bred in Belgium by Joris de Brabander, out of a dam who competed at Grand Prix level – as did his granddam. The dam, Geraltha W, is classed at 1.30m and is a daughter of the 1.50m stallion Ultimo. She already has a 1.30m offspring. Second dam Jaltha B is classified at 1.35m, has five predicate titles and is a daughter of the stallion whose offspring mostly jumped excellently: Concorde. She is the dam of the Grand Prix horse Chaplin. In the third generation, the foundation is laid by the stallion of the century, Nimmerdor. The third dam, Caltha B, is his competition daughter. She is the dam of 11 sport horses.
