Ridden by Jur Vrieling, sire VDL Mattias has been making a strong impression in international 1.50m classes and appears to have all the qualities needed to develop into a top-level showjumper. His first breeding results are equally promising, and in this pedigree he is combined with the proven Oberlina damline. The dam, Liberlina B, competed internationally at 1.30m level, while the granddam, Urzelina, was successful at 1.35m level. Urzelina also produced the international 1.45m showjumper Harm-B (s.Eldorado van de Zeshoek). This damline has furthermore produced the international showjumper Ben B (s.Kojak), with whom Henk Frederiks claimed victory in the 1.60m Grand Prix of Wilków in 2015.
