Diaz Z is a large-framed mare with plenty of scope and a strong sport model. She jumps with a good technique, shows overview and clearly has the potential for higher-level sport. She already has experience up to 1.20m and shows a willing attitude and good rideability. With her size, power and athletic ability, she is a mare that can easily be developed further with the right training. Her proven bloodlines also make her interesting for breeding in the future.
From a pedigree perspective, Diaz Z is exceptionally well bred. Her sire Diarado (Diamant de Semilly x Corrado I) competed at 1.50m level and is one of the world’s leading sires. His offspring include Don Diarado, Dicaprio and Karoline of Ballmore, all successful at 1.60m level.
The dam Carthagena Z is by Carthago Z, himself a 1.60m Grand Prix stallion and a major producer of international showjumpers. From this direct damline come several top-level performers, including:
The granddam Graduele (by Burggraaf) competed at 1.35m and produced several sport horses and approved stallions, including Allegro (approved AES, 1.60m) and Vario (approved AES, 1.50m). Further back in the damline we find Dakota (by Cento Lano), successful at 1.60m level in CSIO5* competitions.
Diaz Z combines size, scope and a good mentality with an exceptionally proven performance pedigree. A mare with clear quality and strong future potential for higher-level sport.
