The 10-yr-old Quintessential Optima is a very pleasant competition horse with experience at 1.20m level. She has remarkably good showjumping manners. A good technique is also displayed by Grand Slam VDL, who was successful at 1,60m level under Marlon Zanotelli for a couple of years. They won 300,000 euro in the Global Champions Tour finals by finishing third and fifth in the 1.60m competitions last year. Dam Kassandra Optima descends from the 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Pommeau du Heup and already supplied three international showjumping horses: Perla Optima (1.55m GP under Jules Van Hoydonck), Oberon Optimus (1.40m level showjumping) and Rianne Optima (7-yr-old and 1.25m level). Grandam Deauville (Richebourg) supplied Nesquick Optimus (1.50m level showjumping under Max Sebrechts)), two 1.40m level showjumping horses and the 8-yr-old Quatrain Optima (1.35m level international). Worth mentioning is that Deauville is the full sister of the licensed 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Obourg and a half-sister of the BWP stallion Averal (1.50m GP) and three 1.40m to 1.45m level showjumping horses.
