A son by the golden Olympiad stallion Cento out of a dam line full of top showjumpers
Partnered with Otto Becker, Umpa Lumpa’s sire, Cento, performed over a number of years at the highest level. Some of their highlights: golden team medal during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, bronze team medal during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, winner of the World Cup final in Leipzig (2002), seventh place during the 2002 WEG in Jerez de la Frontera, winner of a World Cup class in ‘s- Hertogenbosch and winner of the prestigious Grand Prix in Aachen (2000), Calgary (2003) and San Patrignano (2005).
The dam’s line is mouth-watering, the Oldenburg damline 148. Minou, the dam of Umpa Lumpa, jumped at 1m60 level and is a full sister to, among others, Forest Gump (with whom David Will achieved success at the highest level for years) and the 2* GP horse Marie Luise 3, as well as a half-sister to several international showjumpers, including Magnolia and Mette Marit. Minou’s granddam, Monodie, produced no fewer than three horses from the 1m60 circuit, namely Manodie II H (for instance 3rd in the 3* 1m60 GP of Wellington), Monodie H (including 5th in the 5* 1m60 GP of Tryon and winner of the 5* 1m55 GCT/GCL class in Shanghai) and Chasseur En Blanc.
