Talk about something special! We don’t come across one like this very often, but with the approval of the stallion Esquin White, it may happen more often in the future. But it’s not just the color of his coat that makes him special. This foal’s dam is the NK mare Laperty (by Hertog Jan). Sire Esquin White is a son of Escamillo out of a mare by Florencio. This combination already brings together a great deal of quality. The stallion scored 86 points in his performance evaluations, including a 9 for aptitude as a dressage horse. How does the saying go again: a good horse has no color, though you do stand out with it—and that’s a nice bonus in the dressage ring. This time, Esquin White has been crossed with a harness horse line, in which color also plays a role but is certainly not the dominant factor. In this case, the cross between Esquin White and the harness horse line endows the foal with the qualities needed for dressage.
