At the beginning of Wemmelie’s pedigree, we see the still-young stallion Saint Mclaren. The son of McLaren out of a mare by Wynton was a premium stallion and one of the standouts at the stallion inspection. The stallion stood out for his beauty, balance, and power. His dam, Emmelie, is a “ster” mare by Ampère, and next we see the “ster pref. prest” mare Gemmie, by the stallion Belmondo, who carries the blood of the thoroughbred Lucky Boy through her sire, Omega.
