Weyacinthe J.D.’s oldest half-brother is the nine-year-old Milancinthe D (s.Impressive VDL), who is successfully competing at international 1.45m level under Giampiero Garofalo. Dam Heyacinthe VDL is herself a half-sister to, among others, the international 1.45m horse Galax VDL (s.Carrera VDL). In the third generation, this line traces back to the full sister of the Grand Prix sport and breeding stallion Ahorn (s.Nimmerdor), with whom Roelof Bril achieved notable success. This Byazinthe is the foundation mare of a series of international showjumpers, including the 1.50/1.60m level performers Bordeaux VDL (s.Baloubet du Rouet), Icoon VDL/Rock of Cashel (s.Bubalu VDL), Fontaine Blue VDL (s.Toulon) and High Point VDL (s.Tinka’s Boy). Weyacinthe J.D. is sired by Grand Prix winner Comthago VDL, who is performing successfully under Hessel Hoekstra and whose oldest offspring are making their mark at 1.45m level at the age of eight, including Noble Ami, Nena-Alve DV and Cawamia.
