Valentino lives up to his name, derived from Italian, it already suggests excellence. And he clearly demonstrates this during his jumping presentation. He assesses the obstacles beautifully and combines his front and hind legs in the correct manner. His familial genes have proven in the past that no obstacle is too challenging; in fact, three family members were able to win the Grand Prix of Calgary. Valentino’s mother impressively completed the final of the 7-year-old class last summer, so it’s no surprise that her son possesses the same jumping qualities. Delving further into the dam line, we also find a direct connection to the Grand Prix winner of Spruce Meadows. She, in turn, is a niece of the legendary Big Ben. Several well-known names from this dam line include Important de Muze, Millar, Faraday, Dixson, and Hanna van HD. An extensive list like this invites closer examination to discover the entire Hippomundo pedigree!
