Sambucca is a colt by Comthago VDL out of a mare by Etoulon VDL. Sire Comthago has recently moved to Marlon Zanotelli’s after being carefully produced in Bears by Alex Gill. It’s worth having a look at his results under Zanotelli as the list of clears in simply breathtaking! The mother of this colt is by Etoulon VDL and she is bred out of the full sister of the great Tyson. This stallion by Numero Uno won the Aachen Nations Cup and the Grand Prix of Mechelen, Maastricht and Stockholm under Leon Thijssen. Another brother of the Grand dam is Moeen who was produced by James Fisher and Wilm Vermeir and then moved to Saudi Arabia to compete in the World Cup League under Bader Alfard. This family also gave the world horses like the Grand Prix stallion Edinburgh of Maikel van der Vleuten and Kristian Houwen as well as Nations Cup horse Nirvana, South Asian Games winner Zandor, John Whitaker’s Tadmus and more recently Zoe Osterhoff’s Jaguar King.
