Rocco van Westzijde Z is a direct son of Verona VII, who was competed internationally for many years by Maurico Ruiz and jumped several 1.60m-level Grand Prixs. Verona VII also produced, in combination with Action Breaker, the international 1.55m-level showjumper Aquiles del Caribe Z of Nikko Ritter. The 1.45m performer Bologna (s.Emilion), ridden by Nayel Nassar and Andrew Ramsey, is another direct offspring of Verona VII, and she in turn produced Hemerald, competing at the same level with Darragh Kenny. This means Rocco van Westzijde Z comes from a strong damline, and he also inherited powerful genes on the sire’s side, as sire Rockybo van het Schaeck is a direct son of the Grand Prix mare Walnut de Muze.
