On 19 January 2019 Bacardi VDL won the World Cup class at Dubai at 1.60m. Four months earlier he jumped the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, finishing fourth in the final team classification at 1.65m. At Rotterdam in June 2018 he was third in the 1.60m Grand Prix and third in the Nations Cup at that height. In November 2017 he was second in the Grand Prix of Doha at 1.60m.
He is out of Supardi, this foal’s granddam, who supplied eight uncles and aunts at 1.40m or above. Supardi herself is Elite and carries pref, prest and prok. Aunt Fasupardie and uncle Jocardi VDL both stand at 1.45m. Uncle Apardi took third in a 1.60m at Chantilly in May 2016. The dam Isapardi VDL, a keur mare with sport(spr), competed internationally up to 1.45m with Lennard de Boer. In August 2021 she was third in a 1.40m at Houten. Every generation adds its proof.
Sire Hardrock Z, a son of Heartbreaker out of a Carthago mare, was fifth in the 1.60m Grand Prix of Saugerties in September 2018 with Emanuel Andrade. He was earlier fifth at that same height in Tryon.
