Some mares build a family on their own. Annette is one of them: from her 22 offspring came four 1.60m horses (Bluebai, Lawito, Balounito and Little John), plus Chadolan at 1.55m and another three at 1.50m level. Figures like that are rare on a single mare line.
Her daughter Lannette, the dam of this colt, is well on her way to repeating the trick. All three of her older foals compete: Menetto PS at 1.50m, Chalounette PS at 1.45m and Saphir at 1.30m. Three out of three. Cashmire (1.60m) and Coralou du Rouet PS (1.50m) stand further along the same family.
What Zirocco Blue VDL adds to that is on the record. With Jur Vrieling he took European team gold in Aachen in 2015, won the Rotterdam Nations Cup a year later and jumped the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He is pref and approved by eight studbooks. Through him and his sire Mr. Blue the grey colour is on the table as well, in a colt from Holstein line 1446.
