Ten out of twenty-six. That many of fourth dam Ribalia H.B.’s offspring reached 1.30m or higher, headed by Bybalia SMH and Ibalius SMH (1.50m). Ibalius SMH won the 2024 $25,000 Summer Grand Prix in Wellington. Bybalia SMH carries keur, pref and prest.
Her daughter Abalia SMH jumped 1.30m herself, is elite, pref and prok, and produced Bugatti X (1.45m) and Gayento SMH (1.40m). Second dam Izabalia SMH added Nizabalia SMH (1.30m). Legend SMH shows this Balia family (KWPN breeding family 376) still belongs at the top. With Jane Richard the Grand Slam VDL son jumped three 1.60m classes on the Global Champions Tour this spring.
Dam Robalia L is young: D-OC, prok and a passed IBOP(spr). This grey filly is her second foal. Sire VDL Mattias, a grey son of Comme il Faut out of a Catoki mare, is still competing internationally. This season he was third at 1.50m in Budapest and fifth in the Samorin Nations Cup with Jur Vrieling. The family runs at both ends: Legend SMH on the Global Champions Tour, VDL Mattias in the Nations Cups.
