Lunatique de Kwakenbeek is not a broodmare who never jumped. She has 220 registered results, was ridden at 1.55m by Millie Allen in 2024 and still competed at 1.45m in 2025 with Brecht Goossens and Amanda Slagter, taking second at 1.40m in Opglabbeek.
She also comes from the best nest in this family. Of second dam Euridyce van de Padenborre’s nine offspring, six compete in sport and all six of them stand at 1.40m or higher. Her full brother Jewel de Kwakenbeek completed a full 1.60m career in the United States, including sixth place in the World Cup class at Ocala. Half-sister Rebelline de Kwakenbeek stands at 1.50m with Daniel Bluman and won the 1.45m in Wellington in January. Parel de Kwakenbeek follows at 1.50m, Mabel and Sissi Tango at 1.40m.
Sire Ermitage Kalone took the European Championship with Gilles Thomas and competes at 1.65m himself. What is sold here is an embryo out of a mare who is still very much in sport and who has a full brother at 1.60m.
