Nostro Azzurro SA Z already has big shoes to fill! He combines a great, already proven damline of many top-level horses, one of the best sires of all time, correct legs, nice build and wonderful character. China Touch Hero has given successful horses of the highest level with many different sires, but Nabab de Reve offspring seem to be the most likely to reach the top events, so the combination should be non-other than extraordinary.
As a young horse, China Touch Hero already proved herself by winning the final for 6-year-old horses in Hardelot under the saddle of Jérome Guéry. She’s also the mother of numerous horses of the highest level, such as CSI5* 1.60m level GCL contender Akarad Hero Z, Pieter Clemens’ current best horse, 1.50m level Jaguar de Tiji of Janika Sprunger and Espirit de la Roque. She is also dam of 1.45m Sea Coast Don’t Touch Tiji Hero, ridden by Olympian Aleksandr Onyshchenko. China Touch Hero is also granddam to the famous young horse and upcoming Zangersheide stallion, Dourkhan Hero Z (1.40m), as well as 8-years-old Inoui du Seigneur, who already competes up to 1.45m! With results like that, it is no wonder that a Balou du Reventon foal out of China Touch Hero was sold for €46.000 at Zangersheide Quality Auction of Foals.
The sire of Nostro Azzuro also has quite a few famous relatives to list. Nabab De Reve was the best Belgian-bred horse of all matches of the Samsung Nations Cups and helped Belgium win the bronze medal at the World Games in Jerez de la Frontera. The spectacular stallion has jumped at the highest level on the international circuit with Philippe Lejeune. He is one of the best stallions of European breeding history due to his spectacular production of high-level sport winners and approved stallions: Glock’s London (1.60m), Vigo d’Arsouilles (1.60m), Kashmir van’t Schuttershof (1.60m), Querly Chin’s Walnut de Muze (1.60m), Candy (1.60m) and Equador van’t Roosakker (1.60m).
