With her excellent reflexes and great mindset, Shanti appears to have everything it takes to follow in the footsteps of both her successful sire and dam. Under Jill Henselwood, her dam New Idol Z competed at the highest level, including multiple placings in 1.50m-level classes at CSI3* Bromont. Granddam Oranka produced not only New Idol Z but also the international 1.45m horse Easter, ridden by Sander Geerink. Shanti comes from the second crop of the increasingly influential stallion Farzack des Abbayes, who is making a name for himself at 1.50m-level with Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer. In the second generation, the genetically valuable Grand Prix stallion Nelson Z, ridden by Richard Davenport, contributes his performance genes.
