This son of Cornet Obolensky combines power and refinement in one compact, athletic package. Time and again, he demonstrates his abilities in the ring with consistency and efficiency. His natural balance and quick front leg technique give him a sharp and accurate approach to every fence. But it’s not just his jumping that stands out—his pedigree tells an equally compelling story.

From the damline, we find proven sport at every level. His half-sister, Citronelle van de Droge Weide, is already competing at 1.40m level. Going a generation back, his granddam Coal Ila Birdavenue jumped to the 1.50m level with the talented Belgian rider Arnaud Gaublomme. She in turn is a daughter of the 1.50m-performing mare Egie of Colors, by Cavalier Royale. Egie is a direct descendant of the foundational broodmare Ligie—one of the cornerstones of the Van Vreckom breeding program.

Egie herself has produced, or is closely related to, several sport horses such as Inaki van den Dael, Napoleon van den Dael, Phaeton of Colors, Qinaki van den Dael, and Kamille van de Lindenhoeve Z—all of whom reached the 1.45–1.50m level. And Ligie? Her legacy is remarkable. She’s the source of numerous 1.60m international competitors, including Chou Hou of Colors, Karibou Horta, Show Show (of Colors), Calimero of Colors, Copain de Muze, Kerbie VV, Sea Coast Chica VV, Cobie VV, and Nikias Ligie VV, among many others.

This pedigree is a masterclass in sport breeding—and absolutely worth a deeper look on Hippomundo. A horse with this kind of backing promises potential far beyond the ordinary.
