Odin’d Alphi is only a three-year-old gelding, but he already shows a fantastic character. Shooting videos for this auction was his first public appearance and he demonstrated his absolutely balanced nature, intelligence and excellent rideability. Odin passed the training course without any problems, and for his new owner he is completely ready for his first competitions next year. Thanks to his great character he is also suitable for amateurs and juniors.
Odin d’Alphi is a descendant of Sherman-Sitte, an intelligent stallion with excellent rideability and performance who jumped up to 160 cm. Sherman-Sitte is a descendant of the phenomenal stallion Kannan (Nimmerdor – Voltaire), one of the most prolific stallions of recent times. Sherman-Sitte himself won the 4-year-old Stallion Championship in Belgium and continued successfully in the series for five- and six-year-old’s. He was bought into the sport by Jos Lansink, and he competed at the highest international level with Cindy van der Straten, before then during the last two years of his show career being successful with Louise Joassin in children’s and junior show-jumping competitions. His descendants include, amongst others, Aramis de Houssoit, successful with Pius Schwizer and Bel Canto de Houssoit with Romain Duguet.
His Dam’s sire is Accord ll, a leading breeding stallion that can be seen in many pedigrees of Europe’s top competition horses. He was the winner of his stallion performance test, where he was awarded the highest marks (Jump 9.5/10.0 – rideability 9.5/9.0). Furthermore, Acord finished second at the Bundeschampionate. Acord II’s mother Ribecka was a winning mare of her year in Holstein and carries the valuable blood of Calypso I. Acord II is also the grandsire of the 2018 World champion DSP Alice with Simone Blum.
Odin comes from the Oldstaj stable in Tachov, founded in 2004, which is dedicated to the breeding and preparation of young horses for showjumping. Hundreds of horses from these stables have already been sold all over the world, mainly to the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe. The most successful horses from this stable include the stallion Cento Lano, finalist at the European Championships 2021 and participant of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, as well as the mare Carmen and the stallions Night van de Kwakellhoek and Quimero, successful at the highest level internationally, and Cornest, five-star winner under the saddle of Marlon Modolo Zanotelli.
