Effortless of East received an excellent score of 80,0 at her foal inspection. The dam, Unique di June, has a jumping index of 132. She produced Philadelpia of East (by Poker de Mariposa), who received a jumping premium as a 3-year-old, and Vegas of East (by Verdi), sold at the SWB Elite Foal Auction in 2021. The grand-dam, Zima A.S. (by Indoctro), placed in international 140 showjumping with Malin Trollnäs and competed in national 150 classes. She has a jumping index of 127. She produced From Above (by Giljandro van den Bosrand), with victories and placements in 130 showjumping. The great-granddam, Persinaa (by Jus de Pomme), in addition to Zima, produced Indesto van de Leeuwerk (by Toulon), Maykel van de Leeuwerk (by Zavall), and Oswald van de Leeuwerk (by Dallas VDL), all of whom have placements in international 135 showjumping. She is also the dam of a broodmare, Zirsinaa vd Leeuwerk Z (by Zirocco Blue VDL), who in turn produced two approved stallions, Jenssen VDL (by Harley VDL) in KWPN and Starley van de Leeuwerk (by Harley VDL) in AES. Ermitage Kalone is the highly talked-about stallion who has captured everyone’s hearts with his fantastic presence, but most importantly, his dazzling jumping ability, skillfully managed by Belgian rider Gilles Thomas. Still young in his career, Ermitage Kalone showcased scope, ease, capacity, and the right attitude at the Paris Olympics, the qualities future showjumping horses will need to meet the sport’s challenges. His bloodlines include top sires in jumping, with his sire, Catoki, who had a successful career with Phillip Weishaupt and Emil Hallundbæk, and is ranked 26th among the world’s top jumping stallions. On the dam’s side, we find Ermitage Kalone’s grandsire, the legendary Kannan, ranked fourth on the same list, consistently at the top due to his offspring’s success at the highest levels of sport. Ermitage Kalone has also sired four approved sons in the BWP studbook. The option to have the foal stay with the breeder after weaning is available.
