Hematite is a beautifully athletic gelding descended from Back Gammon (Montender) out of a Lord Z mare. Hematite is well-behaved and has a good character. He is very easy to ride, but you must be able to handle his high energy. He has a soft mouth, good balance, and changes gallops naturally. Hematite is a true jumping machine with top quality and ability. Despite his high energy, he is not hot or strong. He has extensive international show experience up to 145-150 level. He excels in Ranking Competitions and Grand Prix events. Due to his energy and quality, he deserves a rider with a sensitive touch. In his free time, Hematite wears a cribbing collar because without it, he cribs.
