Emerald van de Velddoornhoeve

Emerald is a beautifully marked and strikingly colored gelding, with the appearance of a painting. But he is not only beautiful to look at—he also has jumping talent, technique, and attitude.

We are selling Emerald on behalf of the breeder. With his first rider, he performed creditably up to 1.35m level. Unfortunately, this partnership came to an end due to a difference of opinion. He then ended up with a young rider who, to be honest, was less suited to show jumping. The results were therefore disappointing, and during that period the horse occasionally stopped.

During the recording day, we built up the course slowly. Emerald ultimately jumped everything, up to 1.35m, without a single misstep. We therefore strongly believe that with a rider who builds him up slowly and gives him confidence, he will once again become a top competition horse—a partner with whom you can win competitions.
