Arte van de Voortakker

In 2021 Volt van de Voortakker was sold during the BWP Online Foal Auction. This year you can acquire a half-sister to Volt, namely Arte van de Voortakker, the result of the marriage between two BWP top dam lines (22 and 100). Arte’s sire, Lector VD Bisschop, is by BWP ambassador Bamako de Muze out of Cordula de Laubry, a For Pleasure daughter (out of BWP dam line 22) who produced no less than 8 showjumpers from the 1m60 circuit. Karline De Brabander played an important role in the successful sports career of Lector VD Bisschop (°2011). Since mid-2020, her husband Koen Vereecke has taken over the reins. Also with success! Some achievements in 2023: winner of the 5* GP of Sopot, gold in the 5* Nations Cup in Sopot (partly thanks to his double clear round), victory in a 5* 1m45 class in Rome and 3^rd in a 5* 1m55 class in Windsor.

Arte belongs through her dam to the coveted Usha van ’t Roosakker lineage (100). Her dam, Mandy VD Bisschop, remained clear as a five and six-year-old in almost all cycle heats in which she participated. She is also the dam of the 8-year-old BWP approved stallion Cello VD Bisschop Z (1m40 level) and Paola VD Bisschop (1m45 level). Arte’s granddam, Josephine VD Bisschop, performed at 1m45 level and produced, amongst others, the approved stallion Obus VD Bisschop and the 5* showjumper Oxana VD Bisschop. Josephine’s dam, Evita van ’t Roosakker, is a daughter of Usha van ’t Roosakker and produced some top class showjumpers, including Isaac VD Bisschop (Thomas Mang), Jackson VD Bisschop (Ingrid Gjelsten), the 5* GP horse Luigi VD Bisschop (Matt Archer) and Melvin VD Bisschop (Chloe Aston).
