Billy

Billy, a liscened Stallion, is a colourful eye-catcher drawing everybody’s attention to himself. He’s the combination of this special look with suppleness, well-developed balance and a striking uphill canter. The only four-year-old licensed stallion jumps his first courses with a lot of scope and power. His always positive attitude and great mindset distinguish him as a big hope for the future. As his sire Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve Billy is born in Belgium. Tangelo jumped at the highest level with the Dutch rider Roelof Bril but at the same time he has made his mark in European breeding as a brilliant sire. For example he sired the Spruce Meadows Grand Prix-winner Darry Lou (Beezie Madden (USA) and Nayel Nassar (EGY)) and the multiple 5*-winner Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (Daniel Deusser (GER)). Billy’s dam Calida K is a Westphalian daughter of the Holstein stallion Charakter who himself is a son of the renowned Calido I. Calida K started her sports career in Germany before she went to Italy. Ridden by Francesco Turturiello she climbed up to 1.55m-level in her remarkable career. Later on she went to Belgium as a broodmare. Billy’s granddam’s sire is the great Westphalian Frühlingstraum II who produced many good performers such as Fire 2 for Norbert Koof (GER). The two of them won individual gold in showjumping at the World Championships in Dublin in 1982.
