The well-producing Grand Prix winners Carrera VDL -who had three offspring compete at the European Championships in A Coruña this year- and Comme Il Faut are united in the pedigree of Varin Gun, and combined with a performance-rich damline. Dam Carin Alda G Z is a half-sister to the seven-year-old Cascaralda G Z (s.Cascadello I), who successfully debuted at international 1.40m-level earlier this year under Jana Wargers. In the third generation, this line traces back to the 1.40m mare Leonalda, who is the dam of -among others- the international 1.50m stallion Zjohn G (s.Casantos), and the 1.45m-level performers Eleonalda (s.Vigaro), Dutch Beauleo Z (s.Dutch Capitol), and Precious 2 (s.Alexis Z). Leonalda herself is a half-sister to Dutch Cinda Alda Z (s.Dutch Capitol), the international 1.60m horse ridden by Karina Frederiks, and this direct damline has also produced top-level performers such as Fighting Alpha, Thunder G Z, Pavarotti, SIEC Vigaro, and Coming Up.
