Copain de Minka Z

Copain de Minka Z is a very nice 6-year-old homebred gelding with a lovely type and great model. He combines athleticism, a calm mind, and excellent rideability, making him an easy and enjoyable ride. His powerful jump and natural talent are matched by a great mentality, ideal for amateurs, juniors, or young riders.

Bred out of Beauminka, a fantastic mare who jumped up to 1.55m, Copain comes from one of the best Dutch breeding lines — the well-known Minka line. He is a half-brother to Cadeauminka, ridden by Lillie Keenan, herself a very successful international competitor. This lineage traces back to Cabrio, who won top Grand Prix classes, including Spruce Meadows at 19 years old with Olivier Philippaerts.

Combining Calgary Grand Prix winner Cabrio Z and the feisty Grand Prix mare Beauminka in his pedigree, Copain de Minka Z has a fantastic mix of genes. Sire Cabrio Z has produced many successful horses in breeding as well, such as Hector van d’Abdijhoeve, Geisha van Orshof and Hunter C. Ridden by Abdel Saïd himself, dam Beauminka competed successfully up to 155cm level and has already been successful in breeding. Her daughter Cadeauminka competed at CSI5* level with Lillie Keenan and is now heading to the European youth championships with young Dutch rider Joep Schaap. Furthermore, Beauminka produced the 160cm showjumper Crunch of Carlos Gordillo, as well as the 150cm showjumper Kockie W and the 145cm jumper Katlin W. This Minka damline has been one of the most successful families of the Netherlands for many generations, producing Grand Prix horses such as Agana van het Gerendal Z, Limminka, Echo van het Gerendal Z and many more.
