Merona van de Donkhoeve is a six-year-old mare with modern looks, an outstanding pedigree, and an excellent character. She is by Mosito van het Hellehof out of a Grand Slam VDL mare, and descends from a dam line that has already produced numerous Grand Prix horses. Among them are Utopia van de Donkhoeve (1.60 m with Pieter Devos), Allgro van de Donkhoeve (1.60 m with Paulo Stewart), Farao of Heritage (1.60 m with Emanuele Gaudiano), Jaro van de Donkhoeve (1.50 m with Koen Vereecke), and Oberon VDH (1.50 m with Amber Feijen and Evelyne Putters).
Merona is a light-footed mover with a naturally balanced, ground-covering canter and a soft connection, which makes her very pleasant to ride. She impresses over fences with her technique and positive mindset. Her elastic way of jumping allows her to develop scope easily and approach each fence with consistency and quality.
