Shark fully inherits the best features of his parents. He is a five-year-old, beautifully compact horse, that impresses at first sight not only for his color, but also for his excellent jumping technique. Shark competes with a girl in young horse competitions up to 120 cm and has had great results. He possesses an excellent character and has great rideability. He would be particularly suitable for women or juniors who want to impress in the ring with their horse’s exceptional coloring in addition to their horse’s performance. However Shark is equally interesting for ambitious riders aiming for the top of show-jumping owing to his jumping capability.
The sire of Shark is the stallion Sterling Top, who won the körung in Verden in 2014 and was licenced as a premium sire. He competed in breeders’ championships in the youngster category, and later competed in show-jumping with a girl up to 1.40m. He is a stallion with an excellent temperament, has superb rideability, perfect jumping style and attractive coloring that he passes on to his offspring. His sire is the renowned Stolzenberg, Hanoverian stallion of the year 2019. Stolzenberg passes on to his offspring qualities such as ability, stamina and willingness to perform. This highly sought-after son of Stakkato stood at the Celle state stud and won his stallion performance test with a jumping index of 141.88 points, impressing above all with his unlimited jumping ability and three excellent gaits and demonstrated his talent in for free jumping and under the saddle. With rider Joachim Winteran, Stolzenberg had over 80 wins up to the highest level. His most famous offspring internationally include Hello Shelby (Scott Brash), Salt n’ Peppa (Jodie Hall McAteer) and Gain Line (Abdullah Alsharbartly). Stolzenberg has over 469 progeny in the sport worldwide and this has helped catapult his breeding index to 149 points in the WBFSH sire rankings.
His mother Candida was herself successful in the sport up to 1.50m and her father is Contendro l, who is renowned world-wide and passes on his appearance, superb gaits, huge ability and fantastic temperament. For more than 4 years he was ranked amongst the top stallions in three disciplines and for many years he was the world’s No. 1 sire for eventing and ranked amongst the world’s top in jumping. He produces offspring of the highest quality and passes on his movement, technique, intelligence and flexibility to his foals. His sire, Contender, is one of the world’s leading producers of show jumping horses. Candida’s mother Candela is a daughter of the stallion Come On, who of jumped up to 1.60m and is the offspring of the significant Holstein lines Cantus x Landgraf l.
Shark comes from RVP Horses, a Moravian stable focused on breeding and training young horses. In their stable there are breeding stallions alongside mares with foals and young horses. Their breeding stallions include Ares RVP by the stallion Aristo, who successfully competed at the World Championship of Young Horses at Lanaken last year.
