The dam CCStud’s Nigeunerin sold at the SWB Elite Foal Auction in 2018 and became the third most expensive jumping foal at that event. She comes from a solid maternal line with a series of S-level horses, and this is her second foal.
The granddam, Ageunerin VDL, has a jumping index of 131 and has achieved Elite status for the exceptional performances of her offspring. CCStud’s Fidelity 9178 (by Monte Bellini) is approved at the accepted level, awarded a jumping premium as a young horse, and has placements in S-class 150 show jumping. Three of her offspring compete successfully in 140 classes: CCStud’s Jetset (by Monte Bellini), CCStud’s Kruezerin (by Cordess), and Ginerin CC (by Stokdals Livanos), the latter of which also participated in the World Championships for Young Horses. CCStud’s Iguazu (by Monte Bellini) was awarded a jumping premium at the 4-year-old test.
The great granddam, Zigeunerin, produced the KWPN-approved stallion Goodtimes, who sired many competition horses at the S-level in show jumping, as well as approved sons. Zigeunerin also produced Mercedes (by Nimmerdor) with success in 150 show jumping. Additionally, three of her daughters, Jigeunerin (by Nimmerdor), Vigeunerin (by Arkansas VDL), and Zigeunerin II VDL (by Hold Up Premier), all have offspring with competition merits at the S-level.
Cornet Obolensky has undeniably made a significant impact on international showjumping. He has had a highly successful competitive career in international 1.60m events with riders such as Marco Kutcher and Ludger Beerbaum, achieving accomplishments such as team gold at the European Championships, as well as notable placements in the Olympic Games, World Cup, Nations Cup, and five-star Grand Prix.
As a sire, Cornet Obolensky holds the 14th position in the WBFSH ranking, and his offspring have excelled in the absolute top level in the showjumping arenas. Some notable examples include Comme il Faut, Clooney 51, the full siblings Cristallo I and II, Cornado NRW, Conte Bellini, Cornet’s Cristallo, Cornetto K, Coree, and Cornet Kalua—just to name a few. His lineage boasts powerful jumping blood through Clinton, Corrado I, and Cor de la Bryère on the sire side, and on the dam side, Heartbreaker, another stallion who has made a significant mark in the international showjumping scene.
