Woody du Cozar is the result of crossing two performance lineages. His sire, Dourkhan Hero Z, is by Don’t Touch Tiji Hero out of Zinka de Kalvarie. Via Zinka, Dourkhan Hero is part of the famous BWP lineage 100, in other words the dam line of Usha van ’t Roosakker. Inka van ’t Roosakker, the granddam of Dourkhan Hero, produced the international showjumpers Leonardo van ’t Roosakker and Zarkava Hero. Inka is in turn a daughter of Atoucha van ’t Roosakker, the dam of the performers Electra, Falco and Gatoucha van ’t Roosakker. Dourkhan Hero is seven years old and this year participated in a series of international competitions for young horses, level 1m35 to 1m40, in which he almost always remained clear. This emphasizes his regularity, caution and showjumping qualities.
In Woody du Cozar’s dam line, being the Hanoverian lineage 1192504, we detect several international showjumpers, including Hope Springs (ex Fangio de la Tombe, 1m60 level), Icare de la Tombe (1m50 level), Donder van ’t Schuurke (3*), Wembley (15th in the final of the World Championshiop for 7-year-olds in Lanaken, 2010) and the Grand Prix showjumper Cinaco.
Woody du Cozar has a good trot with space, impulsion and a lot of tact.
