Tommy vd Kavelingen Z

Tommy is an incredibly kind and good-natured horse with a wonderful temperament, excellent rideability and despite his height, he is truly a pleasure to ride. He boasts an outstanding showjumping pedigree—sired by Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve, a renowned producer of horses with excellent character—while his dam side features top-tier jumping bloodlines from stallions like Cassini I and Quidam de Revel. These genetics make him ideal for higher-level show jumping; he is currently competing over 1.15m with an amateur rider. However, his beautiful, compact build, calm disposition, regular and attractive gaits and excellent jumping technique reveal his undeniable talent for the hunter ring. Nothing fazes him either—not even derby-style obstacles—and he remains completely calm, obedient, and eager to work.

His sire, Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, competed at the highest level with Roelof Bril and is renowned for producing top showjumping horses such as Tobago and Darry Lou. He holds prestigious titles, including “Preferent” in the KWPN studbook and “Ambassador” in the BWP studbook. He passes on immense power, excellent leg technique, rideability and a cooperative temperament to his offspring. He has sired more than 50 licensed sons. His dam, Notre Dame III, boasts an impressive pedigree, being by Cassini I out of a mare by Quidam de Revel x Landgraf I. She has also produced Don Perron (1.45m level) and La Louvre (1.35m). Her full sister, Notre Dame II, competed at 1.60m Grand Prix level and is the dam of the approved 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Vingino.
