Safír is an eight-year-old gelding with competition experience up to 1.30m and has an excellent pedigree, featuring bloodlines such as Kannan and Diamant de Semilly. He is a type of “one-person”/ family horse—the kind that would go through fire for his rider. He has a very friendly temperament, excellent manners, and clearly has the potential for higher-level show jumping. He would be the ideal partner for an ambitious amateur, or for an experienced junior or young rider who is looking for more than just a sport horse—a life companion for any situation. He possesses a smooth, regular canter and a powerful yet comfy-to-sit jump. He is capable of taking off from both long and short distances and he always strives to help his rider out of any trouble.
Safír’s sire is the Belgian Warmblood Nic Nac Quality, who, after his show jumping career in Europe, was sold to the USA, where he successfully competed in classes up to 1.45m. The pedigree of Nic Nac Quality represents the absolute pinnacle of modern European show jumping breeding; it combines legendary French and Dutch bloodlines. His sire is Kannan—long ranked among the world’s most successful stallions according to the WBFSH and who has sired dozens of Olympic-level horses (such as Nino des Buissonnets, Olympic Champion 2012 London Games). He passes on his unrivalled power and an equally excellent temperament. Esprilio’s maternal grandsire is highly valued in breeding circles for his elite show jumping lineage; he is by Diamant de Semilly—one of the world’s most successful show jumping sires—while his dam, Aloubet, is by Baloubet du Rouet out of a mare by the legendary Olympic stallion Darco.
