Carpe Diem and Vasco da Gamma van het Gonnehof both competed at 1.60m and both are uncles of this foal. In September 2015 Carpe Diem was double clear for second place in the 1.45m Grand Prix of Arezzo. In June 2016 he was still seventh in the puissance of Sopot. Three and a half years after Arezzo, Vasco da Gamma did the same at Wellington (USA), double clear for second in a 1.45m class, a day after winning the 1.40m.
Skip van het Gonnehof produced nine foals and four of them carry a competition record, alongside this pair also Cobe van het Gonnehof at 1.45m and Cassandra Z at 1.40m. A generation higher the great-aunt Princess van het Gonnehof jumped 1.40m. The engine of this lot therefore sits with the second dam.
The dam Orphelia van ‘t Schildershof is a daughter of Inshallah de Muze, and this is her sixth foal. The sire Pegase van ‘t Ruytershof, a son of Comme il Faut, is listed at 1.55m, and Jeroen de Winter rode him at that level in 2025. In March 2026 he was still competing in the 1.45m at Lier. A compact dam line with two 1.60m horses standing right above this foal.
