Sénégal de Fontaine may not be a name we’re very familiar with yet, but he is a son of Springbank II out of Wendy de Fontaine, the Sezuan mare ridden by Isabel Werth in Grand Prix competitions. Talk about quality! His dam, Loliane, scored 90 points for her trot and conformation at her studbook inspection at age 3 and was named reserve champion of Drenthe. She herself is Z2-classified and elite. She is a daughter of the LT stallion Ferdinand. His second dam, Darliane van Santano, is also Z2 and elite; she is the dam of two Z2 offspring. The third dam, Vadihouston, is elite, preferent, and performance-classified. She is the dam of six dressage horses at the Z level or higher, including Iliane, who competes in the advanced class.
