Lot 2 – Implanted Embryo – United Touch x Kalou Vinia MB

Dam Kalou Vinia MB competed at 1.45 level with both Jeroen de Winter and Rob Heijligers. She won the Geldrop Grand Prix and achieved several placings at 1.45 level, including a third place at the 2025 Dutch Championships in Deurne.

Due to her own quality and performances, her excellent dam line and the quality already demonstrated by her eldest offspring, it was decided to retain her for breeding.

Granddam Elvinia MB was among the best three-year-old mares in the Netherlands, scoring 82.5 in her aptitude test. As a dam, she produced Jelvinia MB, who, ridden by Amy Millar, became Canadian champion in the 1.60m class. Her daughter Maykel Vinia MB was also among the best 3-year-old mares in the Netherlands, scoring 90 points in the free jumping test. Furthermore, Elvinia MB is the granddam of the approved stallion Emir Vinio MB Z, who was champion of the 4-year-old show jumpers in the UK.

Granddam Sylvinia produced the approved stallion Nixvinio MB Z, who won the aptitude test in Sweden as a 3-year-old. Sylvinia herself is the full sister of the well-known Havinia (1.60m). This Grosso Z daughter finished fifth at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera in 2002 under Gianni Govoni (ITA). The Abgar xx mare Davinia is at the foundation of a dynasty of top show jumpers.

The best-known international show jumpers from this line are: Ilex, ridden by McLain Ward and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, and the former No. 1 in the WBFSH rankings, Zinius (1.60m), ridden by Harry Smolders. This direct mare line has also produced many more international 1.50–1.60m horses, including Kivinia, Kovinia, Tyrone vdl, Winia vt Vennehof, VDL Groep Elexia, Favinia, Belle Fayvinia, Havinius, Lovin Linea, Versace, Blue Love True and Kalvinio Z.
